Global Reach, Local Expertise

How we operate

Our approach

With its existing client base, Alliance Commodities is well positioned in both East and West Africa and has long standing relationships with the leading exporters in Asia, mainly Thailand, Vietnam, India, Pakistan, China and Myanmar. Moreover, with a strong origination structure in South America, Alliance Commodities is able to diversify its risk away from Asia to serve certain markets in Africa who prefer South American rice.

Africa is the world’s biggest importer of rice, and is therefore a key market for Alliance Commodities for both distributing and producing rice in the next few years. One of Alliance Commodities’s goals is to look into the possibilities of growing rice in Africa, where abundant land is still available. Alliance Commodities will have the opportunity to quickly merchandise other products as well, including sugar, milk powder and vegetable oils. As Alliance Commodities has the know how to operate in Africa, as seen by the team’s past experience, Africa will be a primary profit center for the new structure.
